A Leap Year Wedding To Celebrate
A beautifully converted barn…
A leap year only comes around every 4 years, so what a special day this is if your choosing to get married. This is something that both Lydia and Clayton realised when planning their wedding for 29th February 2024. I didn’t ask the couple if the proposal was made on the last leap year!
They chose the idyllic setting at Southend Barns for their big day. Southend Barns is a beautifully converted barn near Donnington, Chichester in West Sussex a venue that I have played at before for many weddings over the years. This does make a beautiful setting for any wedding reception.
The venue has a beautiful courtyard and a heated space providing a hybrid indoor/outdoor vibe where guests that take to the bar before returning to the dancefloor.
And the weather did not dampen their spirits!
There was rain that evening, however with the shelter surround the courtyard, the weather did not dampen anyone’s spirits.
After the cutting of the cake, Lydia and Clayton made it to the dancefloor for their first dance, surrounded by friends and family before the father of the bride joined Lydia for a dance.
After the dances, all the guests took to the dance floor, with their glowsticks and danced the night away!
This certainly was a fun evening and a beautiful wedding for the new Mr & Mrs Hunt, which I thoroughly enjoyed providing the Wedding DJ Entertainment for.
