Celebrating International Women’s Day And The Inspiring Women We Know

International Women’s Day today, however what does this really mean?

International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on 8th March as a focal point in the women’s rights movements. This provides a focus to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights and violence and abuse against women. 

Believe it or not, International Women’s Day did not become main-stream until 1977 which is shocking to believe that even in Modern Day history it was still an issue until the turn of the 20th Century. Women can now vote in local and national political debates and (in most cases), have the potential to earn as much as their male counterparts in their careers.

International Women’s Day demonstrates that any inspiring woman can live their dreams and at A.C.Knell Entertainment, we certainly appreciate the special women in our lives…

The two special young women in my life

Chloe and Katie are my very strong, brave and beautiful daughters. Although they have dealt with some struggles recently during the separation from their mother, they know that I am always here for them and they are growing up to be amazing young women.
