Today marks a significant milestone for A.C.Knell Entertainment as we celebrate 22 years of bringing unforgettable music and entertainment to Sussex and beyond. From humble beginnings, where the seeds of passion were sown long before the business was born, we have grown into a household name, cherished by many for our dedication to creating memorable experiences.
A Musical Journey Rooted in Passion
The story of A.C.Knell Entertainment began long before its official inception. My love for music was nurtured early on, thanks to my Mum, who taught me to play the piano. Those early lessons ignited a lifelong passion that would only grow stronger. During my school years, I expanded my musical repertoire by learning the violin and participating in school orchestras, where I experienced the joy of performing as part of an ensemble.
This passion for music continued to flourish as I pursued my studies at Sussex Downs College in Lewes, where I became actively involved with the student-run radio station, Plectrum Radio. Running the station provided me with invaluable experience in curating playlists, understanding audience preferences, and developing my skills as a DJ. It was during this time that I realized that music was more than just a hobby; it was my calling.
From Pub Gigs to Premier Entertainment
Armed with a deep love for music and a desire to share it with others, I began performing at pub gigs, the first stepping stones in what would become a thriving business. These early gigs were a learning ground, where I honed my craft, built connections, and slowly started to invest in new equipment to enhance the quality of my performances.
As my reputation grew, so did the demand for A.C.Knell Entertainment. What started as small pub gigs soon expanded into larger venues and more diverse events. Brighton, with its vibrant nightlife and eclectic music scene, became a second home. I had the privilege of providing entertainment for club nights, where the energy of the crowd and the pulsating beats created electric atmospheres that are still talked about today.
Expanding Horizons: Weddings, Corporate Events, and More
Over the years, A.C.Knell Entertainment has evolved to cater to a wide range of events. From the high-energy environment of club nights to the intimate and joyous celebrations of weddings, we have brought our unique touch to every occasion. We also specialise in karaoke nights, children’s entertainment, and corporate functions, ensuring that no matter the event, the music is always perfectly in tune with the moment.
Serving East Sussex, West Sussex and the surrounding areas, our mission has always been to create unforgettable experiences for our clients. The joy of seeing a bride and groom share their first dance, the excitement of a child singing their heart out at a birthday party, or the camaraderie of colleagues letting loose at a corporate event—these are the moments that drive us to keep perfecting our craft.
